I am a cascading pattern that sweeps through existence. I am shaped by my past, just as I shape my future. I am influenced by everything I relate to. I influence everything I relate to. It’s hard to draw a clear boundary around “me”, and yet I am.
I am many intricate, interconnected parts. My mind and my body are the same thing. My body-mind is shaped by my actions and extended through my tools. My actions are shaped by my environment and the way I function. Changing one part affects the rest. Improving one part improves the rest.
I resist malign sources of influence. People that shape others in detrimental ways can go fuck themselves. Distorting the functioning of body-minds creates destructive ripple effects. Hurting one part hurts the rest.
I co-create protective spaces where people can relax and grow. I want to grow unusual together with others. I want to live beautifully and play with abandon. I want to work towards the development of all.
I learn and I teach, relating in mutual empowerment. I tweak and improve, joyfully flowing towards grace.1 I collaborate, aligning with others to have an impact. I can’t do it on my own.
I believe that we can make the world better, by taking small steps every single day.
This post is part of an “inverse course”,2 a flash philosophy3 assignment to write down my life philosophy in 500 words or less. Think I included the main parts, hope some of you enjoyed it.
The course is related to my philosophical guidance practice. If you have something that feels important and confusing, I’d love to explore it together with you. You can book a session here: booking link
If you have a friend who likes occasional random posts featuring analysis of a remarkable array of things, consider recommending this blog.
